Project Overview

Project Overview

M Rich is a leading supplier of ISO/IICL-standard shipping containers across Southeast Asia—selling new/used units, renting fleets, performing inspections/repairs, and delivering fully modified containers (mobile offices, cafés/restaurants, hotel/camper builds). PrimePeak designed and implemented a custom CRM/ERP that unifies sales, rental, workshop projects, inspections, logistics, and finance—replacing spreadsheets and siloed tools with one source of truth the whole company can run on.

Business Context
Containers aren’t simple SKUs. Each asset has a BIC/serialsize/type (20GP, 40HC, reefer, flat rack, open top, tank), condition grade (new/one-trip, CW, WW, as-is), location (yard/port/customer), ownership, and compliance dates (CSC/IICL). M Rich also runs a busy modification shop (MEP, insulation, fit-out), a rental fleet with per-diem/renewals, and inspection/repair services. The system had to quote accurately, track every container’s lifecycle, and keep compliance and profitability in view at all times.

What We Built (Modules)

  • CRM & Sales – Accounts/contacts, deal pipeline by region/industry, activity timeline, and a guided quote wizard (type/size/grade, options like lockbox/paint, delivery, crane). Multi-currency (THB/USD) pricing, tiered discount rules, and target margin checks before approval.
  • Inventory & Depots – Real-time stock by depot/yard, status (available, reserved, on-hire, off-hire, workshop, in-transit), ISO code, BIC/check-digit validation, ownership, images, and documents. Transfer orders move units between depots with cost/ETA and hand-off to logistics.
  • Rental & Lease – Contract templates (daily/monthly/long-term), deposits, auto-billing cycles, per-diem/detention/demurrage counters, renewals, off-hire inspections, and damage recovery. Rental statements and utilization dashboards.
  • Workshop & Modification Projects – From mobile office to restaurant/hotel/camper builds: BOM & drawings versioning, stage-gates (shell prep → steelwork → insulation → MEP → finishes), work orders, labor/parts capture, vendor POs, QA checklists, snag lists, and project P&L in real time.
  • Reefer (Refrigerated) Module – Unit serials, PTI tracking, temperature log attachments, door seals/gaskets, gen-set availability, and spare parts catalog.
  • Inspections & Repairs – IICL/ISO survey templates, photo capture on mobile, repair estimating and approvals, job assignment (in-house/vendor), and automated certificates on completion.
  • Logistics & Delivery – Dispatch planner with multi-drop routing, crane/Hiab scheduling, port/yard gate slotting, ePOD (photos/signatures), and exception workflows.
  • Customer & Vendor Portals – RFQ submission, order status, rental statements, document downloads (invoices, certificates), and service ticketing; vendor portal for repair quotes and job close-out.
  • Finance & Documents – Pro forma/commercial invoices, packing lists, CSC data sheets, inspection certificates; taxes; deposits and AR; profitability by product line (sale, rental, modification, service).
  • Analytics – Sales by type/size/grade, rental utilization, quote win rate and time-to-quote, repair variance, workshop throughput, margin by line of business, on-hire/off-hire durations.

    Impact
    • Faster quote-to-order and higher win rates with accurate pricing and availability.
    • Higher rental utilization and cleaner month-end with automated cycles and statements.
    • Reduced project overruns via gated workflows and live costing.
    • Fewer compliance risks—units dispatched with valid CSC/IICL only.
    • Leadership visibility into margin by line of business and depot performance to guide purchasing and capacity.

Key Automations

  • RFQ → Quote in one click; quote expiry reminders; approval workflows for discount overrides.
  • Reserve inventory on quote acceptance; automatic status changes (available → reserved → dispatched).
  • Rental billing cycles with dunning and renewal notices; off-hire triggers inspections.
  • Survey/CSC due reminders by unit; prevent dispatch of non-compliant units.
  • Cost overrun alerts on workshop jobs; purchase approvals tied to BOM budgets.
  • Delivery day SMS/WhatsApp with live ETA; ePOD closes the job and releases invoicing.

Integrations

  • Accounting (e.g., Xero/QuickBooks): customers, invoices, payments, taxes.
  • Payments (e.g., Stripe/bank gateway) for deposits and balances.
  • Maps & Routing (Google Maps) for dispatch planning.
  • Messaging (Email/SMS/WhatsApp) with all conversations logged to the deal/order timeline.
  • Scanning/Labeling for unit IDs, job travelers, and palletized parts; optional EDI/API to depots and carrier partners.
  • Website hand-off from the public site (mrichequipment.co.th) RFQs to CRM deals with source tracking.
